Purpose of Service

YourVoice.ie provides a technical interface to facilitate communication between Users and their political representatives ("Representatives"). Our service is intended solely for democratic engagement and the exercise of the right to petition.

User Responsibility & Legal Basis

As the sender of the communication, the User is the Data Controller of any personal data processed during the transmission.

Legitimate Interest: By using this service, the User affirms they have a valid Legitimate Interest (as defined under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to contact Representatives.

Compliance: The User is responsible for ensuring their messages comply with local laws regarding lobbying, political communication, and data protection.

Recipient Privacy & Anonymised Tracking

To protect the privacy of Representatives and prevent the profiling of public officials:

Default Anonymisation: We have configured our email infrastructure (via our sub-processor, MailPace) not to track when an email is opened.

Data Minimisation: No personal behavioral profiles of Representatives are created or stored by YourVoice.ie.

Limitation of Liability

YourVoice.ie acts as a Data Processor. We provide the conduit for your message but are not responsible for the content of the messages sent or any legal disputes arising from the User's choice of recipients.
